U.S. Phone Records Surveillance:
Trillions of U.S. phone records are annually tracked under the Data Analytical Services program, formerly known as Hemisphere. Operated by the White House, this program allows law enforcement, notably through AT&T, to access and analyze phone records, even for individuals not suspected of crimes.

YouTube’s Ad Blocker Challenge:
YouTube has implemented a five-second delay for videos loading when users employ ad blockers, aiming to combat their usage. This move aligns with Google’s broader efforts to modify Chrome browser extensions, drawing criticism from ad blockers and privacy experts.

North Korea’s Supply Chain Attacks:
Microsoft uncovered North Korea’s Diamond Sleet hacking group using supply chain attacks, embedding malicious code within a legitimate installer file for CyberLink software. The attack, affecting over 100 devices, emphasizes the growing sophistication of North Korea’s tactics in cyber operations.

Amidst these developments, the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre and the Republic of Korea’s National Intelligence Service issued a warning about North Korea’s increasing sophistication and volume in supply chain attacks, aligning with broader strategic priorities.
