Samsung Announces New Galaxy Book4 Models Before Unpacked Event
Hot on the heels of the recent Intel Core Ultra Processor announcement and just ahead of Samsung Unpacked 2024, Samsung has introduced its new Galaxy Book4 lineup, featuring three distinct devices: the Book4 Ultra, Book4 Pro, and Book4 Pro 360. Designed with AI in mind, these laptops boast the Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor, ensuring users can seamlessly leverage AI-enhanced software without compromising on quality or battery life.
In a press release announcing the new laptops, TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Experience Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the Galaxy Book4 series’ role in enhancing connectivity within their ecosystem, offering intelligent and connected experiences across PCs, phones, tablets, and other devices.
The Galaxy Book4 Ultra, a 16-inch laptop with Windows Home 11, stands out with an Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU (6GB or 8GB options), Wi-Fi 6E, and various SSD options ranging from 512GB to 2TB, along with an expansion slot.
The Galaxy Book4 Pro, available in 14- or 16-inch sizes, features Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processors, Intel Arc GPU, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB, including an expansion slot.
For those seeking versatility, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, a 16-inch device, offers the Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 CPU and Intel Arc GPU, with storage options limited to 512GB or 1TB and no expansion slot.
All laptops boast touchscreen capabilities and 2MP cameras, with the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 being the only one to include Samsung’s S Pen. Notably, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra stands out with fast charging, claiming to add approximately 55% battery life in just 30 minutes under specific conditions. Samsung also highlights a new cooling system design enhancing power efficiency for extended usage on a single charge.
Display features across the lineup include Samsung’s renowned quality, featuring dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, a Vision Booster utilizing an Intelligent Outdoor Algorithm for improved viewability in bright light, and anti-reflective technology.
The Galaxy Book4 series is set to debut in Korea in January 2024, with a gradual release in select markets to follow, as indicated in the press release. However, specific details about the markets and availability timeline remain undisclosed.
